Whether your project requires workforce housing for thousands, a large on-site warehouse, a series of pumping station enclosures or a state-of-the-art communications and control facility, fabric buildings from Alaska Structures® are the perfect solution. Clients can quickly create on-site buildings to meet their project’s specific needs. Furthermore, our fabric buildings offer shorter construction times, few foundation requirements and little to no maintenance. As a result, you can get to work and focus on the job at hand.
ENGINEERED TO MEET LOCAL CODES AND THE INTERNATIONAL BUILDING CODE (IBC)
REDUCED LOGISTICS, RAPID INSTALLATION AND EASY RELOCATION
WEATHERPROOF STRUCTURES FOR PROTECTING PEOPLE AND EQUIPMENT
DESIGNED TO WITHSTAND EXTREME CONDITIONS ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD
Engineered Pump Station Enclosures That Reduce Environmental Impact
The 800-mile-long Alyeska Trans-Alaska Oil Pipeline — the largest privately financed construction project — was a massive undertaking. In fact, it involved the construction of 12 pump stations, three refrigeration plants, 10 arctic construction camps, 62 gate valve enclosures and a 1,000-acre marine terminal. The engineering, procurement and construction logistics required more than 7,000 workers operating year-round in the arctic climate.
Given the project’s scope, protecting the beautiful Alaskan wilderness was a primary concern. The client chose Alaska Structures to provide both the portable and permanent infrastructure because of our key abilities:
Reduced environmental impact
Shorter construction times
Few foundation requirements
Easy structure relocation
Taking environmental responsibility and reducing environmental impact must be priorities for all phases of remote projects. Alaska Structures works with site directors, project managers and EPCM firms to create building solutions with minimal foundation requirements. Furthermore, clients can use our structures as permanent installations or easily relocate them as a project’s needs change.
Alaska Structures has been instrumental in the successful construction, operation and expansion of pump station enclosure facilities. We provide engineered fabric buildings for the following applications:
Portable Construction Camps
Leak Detection Storage
Mainline Valve Stations
Pigging Facilities, Slug Catchers and Flare Pits
Communication and Control Facilities
On-Site and Remote Warehousing
Ship, Rail and Truck Terminals
Production and Gathering Facilities
