Rugged, Durable and Portable HVAC Systems
Protect work crews and equipment from extreme weather conditions by creating temperature-controlled fabric buildings from Alaska Structures®. AKS Industries, Inc. (the Alaska Structures parent corporation) manufactures a line of military-grade HVAC systems, known by military forces as the Alaska ECU® (Environmental Control Unit). Unlike traditional HVAC units, we specifically design the Alaska ECU for portability and durability in extreme environments, including dusty, hot, humid and cold climates. Clients have deployed 24,500+ Alaska ECUs to 85-plus countries!
The Alaska ECU is now available to create temperature-controlled facilities for commercial and industrial applications, such as mining, oil and gas and construction operations. We provide a portable commercial HVAC system with operating temperatures ranging from -60˚F to +132˚F.
HVAC Units for Fabric Buildings
The Alaska ECU seamlessly integrates with any fabric building from Alaska Structures. When paired with one of our proprietary insulation packages or the Alaska Solar Fly® (for environments with high solar loads), the Alaska ECU offers an energy-efficient solution for creating comfortable interior spaces. Clients can use the Alaska ECU for a variety of applications, including the following:
- Protecting researchers, samples and sensitive equipment at polar research facilities and camps
- Protecting work crews, equipment and heavy machinery from freezing temperatures at mining or exploration sites
- Industrial warehouse buildings for dry-storage facilities, cold-storage facilities or temperature-controlled warehouses
- Mine dry facilities at mining camps
- On-site kitchen and dining facilities for the oil and gas industry
- Maintenance and repair facilities for public works departments
- Manufacturing facilities for the renewable energy industry
- Aircraft hangars for storing and maintaining airplanes and helicopters
